Superb paintings by artist Brendan Monroe from Bekerley, California… His work is very fresh, well balanced and the most interesting part in my view is his use of colours. Brendan’s work is a great source of inspiration for anyone loving colours. Have a look at his work…
Interesting photographs by Ronald Stoops from Netherland. Ronald had some exhibitions in various places around the world like Bordeaux (France), Tokyo (Japan). He also works for well known magazine like Dazed and Confused…
Astonishing artworks by German artist Simon Schubert. At first glance, his pieces look like traditional pencils drawing but quite light. But they are in fact a piece of paper meticulously folded in thousands of mini folds in various places to create the final image! Really mad, it must take ages and quite a bit of experience and skills to deliver such results… With detailed artworks and unusual style like this, there is no wonder why Simon Schubert’s art is already selling for up to around £4,000… But John doesn’t only create paper art, he’s got crazy sculptures with nice concepts and some weird installations… A great source of inspiration for those who seek ideas, concepts or art less ordinary!
Wouah wouah wouah photographs by UK photographer John Ross. All his work is absolutely staggering and all photos are executed with great control of details, colours and contrasts. When you visit John Ross’ website and look at a section you are first astonished by the quality, then you look at another one with a completely different subject and then again the photos are amazing… And it goes on and on in every single ones of them even though the subjects are completely unrelated… Favourite ones: Blood, Circles, Lava, Liquids, Paper and Super Natural… A great deal of inspiration for photographers.
Excellent photography work and image retouching by Ruud Baan from Amsterdam. His work is quite dark but the quality is 110% there… His “free work” section is really good and the “advertising” one is just amazing. His list of clients is impressive as well from Nike, Coca-Cola, Vodafone to Sony, O’Neill… Great work!
Really nice photographs by New York based photographer Satoshi Kobayshi. The portfolio section is quite impressive with some crystal clear photos. There is probably some decent amount of image retouching behind the scene as well.
Sublime art installations by UK artist Claire Morgan. All her installations are really meticulous. They all look so subtle and delicate. Claire Morgan’s installations are made of taxidermied animals and other objects being hung together to create these beautiful and clean pieces. Really like the “Shhh…” one. Just gutted to discover her work now as I just found out Claire was exhibiting in Newcastle last February and missed a great opportunity to see her work for real…
Absolutely astonishing image retouching by Christophe Huet. He’s not the photographer of the shots, “just” doing the post prod on all these adverts. With such a talent and an unbelievable level of skills and attention to details, there is no wonder why Christophe Huet has been doing image retouching for massive companies like Stihl, Playstation, Rossignol, Snickers and Adidas. I have to admit I was speechless when I saw the Adidas one (on the tennis court). It looks sooo real. My eyes keep going back and forth on the slide mark! A-m-a-z-i-n-g!
Excellent video for Dior’s Lady Noire, an ad campaign for Dior handbags starring Marion Cotillard (Oscar and BAFTA winner 2008 as best leading role for her performance in La Môme). This mini-film/video (6min30) is not classic in anyway! It’s really “dark”, not glam glam or love love as it usually is for these types of brands ad campaign… J’adore!
