Here are some really dark and some futuristic paintings and illustrations by Sam Webber, an American paintor and illustrator based in New York. Sam has an extensive list of well known clients including The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Sony/BMG, PlayBoy and ESPN amongst others… Sam has a nice singular style and manages to bring his own touch of frightening yet beautifully executed darkness!

Fabien Barral - Graphic Design
Excellent graphic design skills by Fabien Barral, a freelance graphic designer based in France. Fabien’s work on Harmonie Intérieure is so captivating! The green tones of the first one, the general balance and the overall composition is well managed! Really nice work…
Takcom - Video
Here are 2 excellent videos realised by Takcom…
Janet Waters - Photography
A lot of inspiring photographs by Janet Waters, a Blackpool (UK) based photography programme leader. As Janet mentioned on her Flickr profile, she’s building up a ‘visual library’ of ideas to inspire her students. What a library! Her experiment collection is incredible; so colourful and so organic. In certain situations, the photographs almost look like paintings or watercolours… Because Janet has such an extensive library of experimental photographs it’s been quite hard to only select a few! Some might have a bit too much grain especially in the “smoke” section but it doesn’t really matter as her work is more about the ideas and experimentations…
Gwen Vanhee aka Revoid
Back in March, at the start of HautStyle as a design blog, was mentioned a Belgian artist called Revoid aka Gwen Vanhee. Today, after random clicks, browsing and reading I found these awesome videos/animations realised by this same Revoid. These animations are made using Flash and AS3, saved frame by frame as an image then imported into Premiere. The colours and the textures created in these interactive mark making animations are wonderful.
Alberto Cerriteno - Illustrations
I simply fell in love with Alberto Cerriteno’s digital illustrations… Not really sure what else to say really! The colours are warm but not too bright, the subjects are fun but not too childish… The textures? Amazing! Just LOVE IT!
A bit of biography about Alberto Cerriteño now… Alberto is a Mexican digital illustrator and designer inspired by urban vinyl toys and cartoons. Throughout the years, Alberto has developed his own artistic skills, techniques and in the process created his very personal style incorporating Mexican influences with rich textures and patterns.
Glass recycling bin video game
After their piano staircase project, Volkswagen come back with yet another incredible idea to insite people being a bit greener by simply recycling their glass bottles through a fun glass recycling bin video game! Efficient, and above all fun!! Excellent… Looking forward to their next crazy idea!!! To see their other videos and ideas, visit thefuntheory.com.
Corey Holms - Graphic design
Sorry for the lack of posts since last thursday but I have a problem with my computer at home!! I just have a few minutes during lunch break at work. So not many words today about Corey Holms from Southern California except that he is a really talented graphic designer and that his experiments on food dye photography are absolutely stunning!!!
Icecream Extruder (ICX) - Graphic design
Excellent graphic design, 3D and video creations by Icecream Xtruder aka ICX who used to be part of the ToastConcept for those who’ve heard about it. I’ve been really struggling to select only a few samples as every single graphic on ICX’s website is TDF… For the little story, I’ve been chatting recently with ICX and he explained to me the origins of the name Icecream Xtruder. It comes from a French play on word I scream/icecream and extruder because everything ICX touches finishes extruded with 3D software. His graphic design and motion graphics sections are well worth a look… Stunning!!!
Donato Sansone - Video
VIDEOGIOCO by Donato Sansone from Enrico Ascoli - Sound Design on Vimeo.
