Sola is a UK based photographer focusing mainly in the light graf area; what Sola calls light bombing. He’s using long exposure photography techniques to capture the movement and the flow of light. Unlike most of the recent light graf artists, Sola’s work seems to be more about the texture of the light and its movement rather than trying to manipulate light to personalise it.

Noah Harris - Talk Talk TV Ad
Here is the latest Talk Talk TV advert. The stop motion animation video was created by Noah Harris using Canon 5D mkII digital cameras for the long exposure photography and a set of 80 HD cameras. The result is quite excellent. A really good mix of light graf, animation and video. Great job!
Michael Bosanko - Light Graf

Absolutely mental long exposure photographs by Wales (UK) based photographer Michael Bosanko. Michael has a lot of experience in photography as you can see on his website. He is really versatile and can work for various clients with different approaches for each project but it’s his work on long exposure photography or light graf that impressed me and let me speechless. There is so much control in his work, so much fluidity and so many textures in the lights. Simply stunning.
You can also have a look here for more light graf photography or here for more long exposure photography.
Kaalam - Julien Breton - Light Graf

Found Julien Breton’s work years ago now when I was still at Uni. At the time, Julien aka Kaalam was mainly working on calligraphy on paper and his work was already astonishing. Last week end, I revisited his website and was completely amazed by his improvements and the new dimension he brought to his work. Light Graf. Light graf or light calligraphy is a mix of long exposure photography and traditional calligraphy (Hassan Massoudy).
See below a video of his work being don on paper. Visit Kaalam’s website for more pictures, videos and interviews (in French).
Long exposure photography

Found this amazing website today… The only problem is it’s in Russian and I don’t have a clue who took these pictures and if it’s photo-montage or if they’ve been manipulated with Photoshop… Well, I think it’s definitely long exposure photography really well executed but certainly with quite a bit of image retouching after. If not, well that’s really amazing then… If someone is fluent in Russian and can find out who took these shots and if it’s been modified in post-prod please let me know I’m dying to know what techniques they used to keep the shapes so smooth and clean…
