Superb photographs and an excellent series of long exposure photography shots in NY, Cape Town… by Dusseldorf (Germany) based photographer Jakob Wagner. His long exposure shots are fantastic and the lense motion is well controlled giving in his photographs this cool zoom-in aspect without ruining the crisp details. There are a few photographs towards the end of another long exposure series on Jakob’s behance page that is simply impressive. The control of the motion mixed with the long exposure creates crazy and almost unreal contemporary urban impressions by night.

Kevin Cooley - Photography
Superb photos by American video artist and photographer Kevin Cooley from Brooklyn, NY. Finding interesting and original long exposure photography is always difficult as the subjects don’t seem to vary much. Kevin’s view on long exposure photography is a little different and these shots above just shows it! The very first one is quite common with the cars lights but with the smoky orange background it looks surreal. The second and third one are very intriguing as the source of light is not very obvious… maybe a flare? It’s easy to see where the last 3 are coming from but the idea (planes landing or taking off), angles used and water reflections make them very interesting!
Andrew Brooks - Photography
Superb photographs by Andrew Brooks, a photographer and digital artist based in Manchester (UK). Andrew seems to specialise in landscape photography and long exposure photography although his portfolio showcases a wider variety of work. As well as shooting, he also does the image retouching and manipulation on all his photographs. If you are a TV addict and you visit Andrew’s portfolio, a photograph may catch your attention…
Steve Bella - Photography
It’s been a while since I’ve posted about long exposure photography mainly because the things I’ve seen were average and already seen million times. Maybe not quite literally million times but you know where I’m coming from here… Anyway, I’ve recently found the portfolio of Steve Bella from Milano in Italy. I thought it was really worth showcasing his photographs because they are very refreshing compared to the usual, average long exposure photography you can now find almost everywhere and anywhere on the web, TV adverts, posters…
Sola - Light Graf
Sola is a UK based photographer focusing mainly in the light graf area; what Sola calls light bombing. He’s using long exposure photography techniques to capture the movement and the flow of light. Unlike most of the recent light graf artists, Sola’s work seems to be more about the texture of the light and its movement rather than trying to manipulate light to personalise it.
