Superb 3D animation named “The Bug” created by student Yongsub Song as part of his thesis at Computer Art MFA School of Visual Art. The quality of this animation is amazing and the storyline quite cool but it sometimes is a bit tricky to grasp it all as the animation is a tad too fast… Love it despite the speed!

Eric Toubal - 2D and 3D designer

Interesting showreel by Eric Toubal who studied at the famous Supinfocom school of design specialising in special effects, animation and 2D-3D. Eric worked on a few special effects on Babylon AD by Mathieu Kassovitz whilst working for BUF (Famous special effects company that worked on Batman, Matrix, Avatar, Orangina adverts…) The second animation is a short movie he worked on with 3 others for their final project at Supinfocom. They won a few student prizes for it! Cool skills!

Cool 3D demo reel from Hype Studio based in Porto Alegre (Brazil)! They created this demo reel in 2009 to showcase their 3d and animation skills. The showreel is quite dynamique and the music entertaining. Hype Studio seems to specialise in Architectural 3D and animation and acquired a strong reputation in the architecture photorealistic domain throughout the years since its creation in 2004.

Welcome to Matt Hoyle’s strangly wonderful photographic world. Matt, who’s based in Los Angeles, excels in photography and even more in image retouching which sometimes includes creating 3d environments to bring the initial photos and subjects to life. His Fairy Tales series is quite stunning and unusual as you feel straight away the amount of CGI and image retouching involved but it doesn’t detract from the composition’s quality; it actually enhances it! I also had a “coup de coeur” for his Vintage Boxers.
