Bruno Fabbris is a French photographer based in Paris who seems to specialise in portrait and fashion photography. His website might not be up to date in terms of design but his actual photography work is surely worth a look… The image quality on his series “Vaporescentes” is not quite there on the website but I would love to see the actual shots as they all seem fantastic with the lighting, the dust, the fabric… Bruno’s archives and artbook are really pleasing to look at too and so is his advertising work for Chanel, Vichy or L’Oreal… Bruno also worked with big names in the cosmetics and fashion industry such as Glamour, Marie-Claire, Vogue, Maybeline….

Superb illustrations by French illustrator Mr Qui. Monsieur Qui not only creates stunning illustrations for paper but he also loves to work on a wide range of materials from plates, skateboard decks, guitar, shoes… Selecting only a few images was a real struggle, there was at least 20 of them that could have been showcased here!! Her website is really nice and welcoming, the navigation is a bit old school and a tad annoying in my view but this aspect is well over compensated by the quality of her illustrations. Hey You! Excellent tune and video by a French band from Nantes Pony Pony Run Run for their new single Hey You. Pony Pony run run’s first album should be release anytime soon. The band members met whilst studying Art (Beaux Arts) so in a way creativity is their way of life. The song is really light and catchy, with an influence of British pop some would say and is absolutely spot on for the summer. The video was shot in Thailand. The tune stays in your mind all day long. Some might dislike that in a way but because it’s so light, fresh and groovy, it’s really enjoyable… Love it!

Valerie Morignat specialises in underwater photography. She’s incredibly talented and her photographs are really surprising. It goes further than the classic underwater photography, she plays with wonder with space (water), textures, bubbles, colours and reflections. I always struggle in the first seconds to find out how the photo has been taken, which part of the body is inside the water, which bit is outside… A delight for your sight!
