Augustine Kofie aka Kofie One

Back in April 2009, HautStyle wrote a post about the very talented Kofie One aka Augustine Kofie. Since then, Kofie One had plenty of time to produce some new exciting artworks, some of them being presented above. Kofie also had some videos made about his work including “Augustine Kofie” (first one) by The Qualities of Light and Time Lapse at Volta6 Art Fair in Basel, Switzerland (last video). Superb street art pieces with a significant touch of Mexican style by Neuzz aka Miguel Mejía from Mexico City. Neuzz is a graphic designer, painter and illustrator who graduated from Universidad del Valle de México. The colours of his artworks are very warm and rich, the contrasts well used and prominent, and most of all, the details used on Miguel’s works are simply unbelievable… It feels miles away from our typical occidental street art with all these references to Mexican masks and skulls…

Graffiti Analysis 2.0 - video

Could spend some times describing what the project is all about but the video (Graffiti Analysis 2.0 - Digital Blackbook) explains it all!! Really really cool! It reminds me of when I was studying mark making at uni and tried to develop something along those lines in Flash and Processing (but not very successful). It looks like I should have worked harder… and in open frameworks!

Yet another street art stop motion? Yes indeed! But this one is cool and different from the usual graf stop motion you can see around quite a lot at the minute or even from this one called Combo Stop Motion HautStyle showcased last year! This one created by Tant and Unga from Broken Fingaz uses lots of different aspects of stop motion making people “fly”, using real 3D objects and “live” elements like fire to give more intensity and a sense of reality to the animation. Really good stuff (if not excellent)…

The last is not really a graf but it really caught my eye as Prefab77 is a street artist from Newcastle and it was kind of weird to see his work in a random back street of Barcelona…

Really cool illustrations by Mecha artist Duster 123 . Duster works in the street by spraying on random walls. He sometimes designs for the like of Marvel Entertainment for projects such as Ironman. He also works as a computer artist for varied computer and/or video games. I think Duster123 is French but you can apparently see some of his work on some of London walls…
