iFont Maker

By Stoffb, July 29th, 2010

A font maker app that seems like good fun for the lucky owners of an iPad… You can create your own hand typeface simply by using the touch interface. But that’s not it, you can actually create a proper font as TTF and use it in all your applications and even in your website as a web font! Sounds cool! Just need the iPad now… For more info visit iFont Maker.

By Stoffb, July 28th, 2010

Back in April 2009, HautStyle wrote a post about the very talented Kofie One aka Augustine Kofie. Since then, Kofie One had plenty of time to produce some new exciting artworks, some of them being presented above. Kofie also had some videos made about his work including “Augustine Kofie” (first one) by The Qualities of Light and Time Lapse at Volta6 Art Fair in Basel, Switzerland (last video). You can see more of Augustine’s work on his website called keepdrafting.

Victorian style Star Wars portraits by Greg Peltz. The Victorian style really brings a different edge to the characters and 3PO’s portrait looks terrific!

Neuzz - Street Art

By Stoffb, July 26th, 2010
Categories: Street Art - Graf

neuzneuzz-mexiconeuzzmexiconeuzz

Superb street art pieces with a significant touch of Mexican style by Neuzz aka Miguel Mejía from Mexico City. Neuzz is a graphic designer, painter and illustrator who graduated from Universidad del Valle de México. The colours of his artworks are very warm and rich, the contrasts well used and prominent, and most of all, the details used on Miguel’s works are simply unbelievable… It feels miles away from our typical occidental street art with all these references to Mexican masks and skulls…

You’d have to be a bit of a maniac to create a copy of Daft Punk Helmet but the result is well worth the 17 months of hard work to make it…

Jill Greenberg - Photography

By Stoffb, June 30th, 2010
Categories: Photography

manipulatorgreenberg_jillgreenbergjillgreenberg-jilljill_greenbergjillgreenbergjill-greenberg

Very interesting photographs by Jill Greenberg aka Manipulator born in Montreal (Canada). The underwater photography section untitled “Glass Ceiling” is colourful and summery but the image retouching and colour manipulation is maybe a little too pronounced on a few shots. That said, the overall quality of Jill’s photographs is amazing. What do you think?

For more underwater photography have a look at Elena Kalis, Alinka Echeverria or Valerie Morignat
